Doubles Play (2v2) Cornhole:
- Dates: Thursdays (and some Tuesdays), June to Mid-August
- Game Times: 6 and 7 p.m.
- Location: Vail Athletic Field, next to sand volleyball courts
- Team cost: $110 or $85 for Vail Recreation District taxpayers
- Parking: During events, there is free carpool (4+) parking at the athletic field parking lot. Invite your friends to make a team and coordinate riding together! You can learn more about parking in Vail here.
- Age Requirement: 21+

Winter Cornhole League

Doubles Play (2v2) Cornhole:
- Dates: Tuesdays, February to April
- Game Times: 6-8 p.m.
- Location: Avanti Food & Beverage, Vail
- Team cost: $110 or $85 for Vail Recreation District taxpayers
- Parking: There is free parking at Avanti for paying customers & cornhole participants after 5 p.m.. There is also free parking at the Vail Parking Structure after 3 p.m. You can learn more about parking in Vail here.
- Age Requirement: 21+

Cornhole Rules
GROUND RULES
- Games are at Vail's Athletic Field on Thursdays in the Summer and at Avanti F&B on Tuesdays in the Winter.
- No refunds will be granted after the start of league play.
- The Vail Recreation District (“VRD”), at its sole discretion, reserves the right to expel any individual or team for malicious or unsportsmanlike conduct, failure to observe rules, regulations and procedures. Fighting, taunting or offensive language of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Matches are best of 3 sets, each set is played to 21. First team to or over 21 points after the inning wins the set.
- Court demensions and layout - A cornhole court shall be a level rectangular area 8-10 feet wide and a minimum of 40-45 feet long. The court should consist of two cornhole boards, designated pitcher’s boxes, and foul lines.
Doubles Play
Team 'A' competes against Team 'B'; each team is comprised of two people.
- Each team has a designated lane for the match. Teams will have one member in each pitcher's box of that lane. Deside who throws first by
- Players at the headboard will alternate pitching bags until each player has pitched all four (4) of their bags. This ends the inning.
- Players at the footboard will take score and resume pitching back to the other board, starting a new inning. Scoring team throws first.
- First team to or over 21 wins the set*. Winning team members MUST swap pitcher's boxes after a set, losing team has the option to swap if desired. Winning team throws first.
*There are no pentalties for going over 21.
Scoring
Each set is played to 21. First team to or over 21 wins the set. Matches are played best of 3 sets.
- Cancellation Scoring: The points of one player cancel out the points of their opponent. Using this method, only one player/team can score in each inning.
- Bag In-The-Count (Boardie): Any bag which comes to rest anywhere on top of the board. Each is worth one (1) point.
- Bag In-The-Hole (Cornhole): Any bag which is thrown through the hole or knocked through the hole by another bag. Each is worth three (3) points.
- Foul Bags: Refers to any bag that has not been determined as Bag In-The-Count or Bag In-The-Hole or was designated a foul bag as the result of rules violation.
- Foul Lines: There are two sets of foul lines: (1) open adult-play and (2) junior-play (12 and under). The open adult-play foul lines shall be defined as an imaginary line 27 feet between the front of each board. The junior-play foul lines shall be defined as an imaginary line 12-15 feet between the front of each board. With regard to sets that meet ACA specifications, the foul line will be parallel to the front of the board.
Scoring Examples
- Team 'A' has 3 boardies & 1 cornhole while Team 'B' has 4 boardies = Team 'A' scores 2 points
- Team 'A' has 1 boardies & 1 cornhole while Team 'B' has 4 boardies = WASH, no points
- Team 'A' has 1 boardies & 1 cornhole while Team 'B' has 2 boardies & 2 cornholes = Team 'B' scores 4 points
Terms
- MATCH: The game between you an your oponent. Played best of 3 sets.
- SET: The rounds during the match. Played to 21.
- INNING: Both teams alternate throwing 4 bags each at the board to complete the inning. Points are tallied up after the inning

- FOOTBOARD: The board players are throwing at
- LANE: Your team's designated side of play for the entire match.
- PITCHER’S BOX: The pitcher’s box is the rectangle 4 feet by 3 feet at each end of the court, parallel with, and on both sides of the boards. Each player must remain in the pitcher’s box while pitching a cornhole bag.
- BOARDIE: A bag that lands on the board. Worth 1 point
- CORNHOLE: A bag that goes into the hole. Worth 3 points
- WASH: Points cancelled eachother. Neither team gains points. Continue same throwing order
- FOUL BAGS: Bag not in play, doesn't count as points. Remove bag from play
