2015 Final Budget Hearing, Nov. 13
The final budget hearing for the VRD's 2015 budget will take place Nov. 13. The budget discussion will take place during the board's regularly scheduled meeting, which begins at 5 p.m. in the Vail Town Council Chambers. The proposed $7.4 million budget for 2015 will be funded from a combination of property taxes ($2.7 million), program user fees ($2.9 million) and a drawdown of accumulated reserves ($1.8 million). The larger than normal capital budget for 2015, at $2.3 million, contains the committed $1.15 million contribution to the Town of Vail towards the anticipated major renovation of the Vail Golf Clubhouse and Nordic Center. Vail Golf Clubhouse Renovation
In November 2011, Vail voters elected to reallocate the Conference Center Fund balance for expansion and improvement of the clubhouse at the Vail Golf Course and Nordic Center, including multi-use community space; field expansion and restroom renovation at the Ford Park Sports Complex; and Ford Amphitheater improvements, including outdoor seating and restroom improvements. Following the election the Town has been taking action on implementing the results of the election. For details, click here.
