2022 Year In Review - Pickleball

In 2022, the Vail Rec District staffed and facilitated twice-daily, drop-in play seven days a week during the outdoor season, and received many compliments regarding the quality and organization of these sessions. Winter indoor play was offered three nights a week and on both weekend days. In addition to busy daily drop-in sessions, lessons, and clinics (by PPR-certified instructors), VRD staff hosted corporate events, wedding parties, birthday parties and other special events at the Golden Peak facility. Pickleball staff also instructed youth from Camp Vail and Beaver Creek Kids Day Camps. Needless to say, it was an active year for pickleball!

The Pickleball Rally for Ukraine FUNdraiser was a success with 48 players total participating. Thank you to everyone who participated in this great event!

We had 1,946 participants in Skills and Drills/Round Robin sessions throughout the 2022 season!

All six courts were booked every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during peak summer season.
