The Vail Golf Club 

The golf club will continue to be open for regular play, and we ask that guests reserve a tee time in advance and follow all of our COVID-19 related guidelines below. The Grill on the Gore restaurant will also remain open with plenty of options for social distancing on our spacious patio. 
The Vail Recreation District is committed to the health and safety of our guests and staff and thanks you for your support and understanding.

Due to current COVID-19 protocols and health requirements, please understand the following:

  • Reservations for the driving range is required. Please call the golf shop.
  • Tee times must be made in advance online at or by calling the golf shop at 970-479-2260.
  • FACE MASKS are REQUIRED in the golf shop, grill and starter area.
  • We will limit the numbers of people in the golf shop to eight (8) at a time for social distancing.
  • Bunker rakes, water coolers, ball washing stands and trash cans have been removed from the course.
  • Modified cups will be in play so the flagstick will not be removed or touched.
  • All towels, coolers, sand bottles, tees and will be removed from carts. 
  • Locker rooms in the clubhouse are closed.
  • The Grill on the Gore is open daily 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Social distancing protocol will be required while visiting and playing the Vail Golf Club.
  • Golfers who choose not to follow social distancing protocols will be asked to leave the property.

First Tee Junior Golf Intermediate Programs

Vail Golf Club's First Tee program is managed by The First Tee Colorado Rocky Mountains. The mission of The First Tee is to educate and inspire youth academically, socially, and physically through the game of golf. Please visit their website for program details and registration information. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, for 2020 there will only be intermediate camps offered. The Vail Golf Club also offers weekly junior clinics for beginner, intermediate and advanced players.

First Tee Intermediate Junior Golf Camps

Intermediate camps will include etiquette, fitness, snag golf, short game, full swing and more techniques.

Dates: July 14-16, July 21-23

Time: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Cost: $99 per three-day session




Adapted PGA Junior League

This program is open to players who were planning on joining the Vail Golf Club Junior League team for the 2020 season or players who have considered joining PGA Junior League in the past. Players will be paired according to skill level and will play in Junior League Format. 

Times: Monday afternoons starting June 22 and ending August 24 with tee times beginning at 2 p.m.

Format: Two-person scramble

Enrollment is limited to the first 12 players to sign up

Players must have a parent or guardian accompanying the group.


Vail Golf Club Weekly Junior Clinics

Register Online

Ages: 6-17 years (must be at least 10 yrs for advanced camp)

Times: One-hour sessions. Time blocks start at 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 5 p.m.

Enrollment: Four participants per hour session; reservations required.

These Summer 2020 camps are aimed at players who are looking for an introduction to the game or those who are looking to improve in a fun, educational environment. Each clinic will have a topic to cover and a fun activity to help the kids better learn the game of golf! Cost is $20 per clinic.

Beginner Junior Golf Camp: Wednesday afternoons starting June 24 and ending August 26. 

Intermediate Junior Golf Camp: Thursday afternoons starting June 25 and ending August 27.

Advanced Junior Golf Camp: Friday afternoons starting June 26 and ending August 28.

High School Golf Camp

Cancelled for now Due to COVID-19 | Monday and Tuesday, 1 to 3 p.m. (Free round of golf after the clinic on June 9!)

Ages: 13 to 18 years

High School Golf Camp is a two-day camp designed specifically for high school golfers. Participants will work with our PGA professionals and develop a plan for summer-long improvement heading into their school golf season.

Participants will learn to:

  • Practice efficiently
  • Measure their progress and track what helps them to score best
  • Manage swing tips and advice (good and bad)
  • Manage their golf rounds (stress, pressure & planning)
