Register Online | VRD Summer Brochure

The VRD's youth summer camps feature hands-on learning about the natural environment, adventure-packed days including rafting and caving, arts and crafts, plus golf, gymnastics, ice skating and more. All camps fill on a first-come, first-served basis and early registration is encouraged. Camps provide children with adventure and learning experiences while enjoying the summer in Vail. Sign up for one day or for the whole summer! Discounts are available for multi-day registrations.

KidZone School's Out Camp

Operated by the VRD's Community Programming department, KidZone is fully licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Child Care. Staff members are highly qualified youth professionals. KidZone's purpose is to provide a structured program during non-school hours that engages and challenges children so they may thrive socially, physically, emotionally, and intellectually. KidZone meets after school and on designated no-school days. Through sports, gym games, playground play, arts and crafts, group games, homework help, after school chores and relaxation time, KidZone's flexible schedule allows children to make choices, work and play cooperatively, develop a sense of responsibility and provides an experience full of imagination and activity.

Camp Vail

June 12-August 18 | Ages: 5 (AND entering K) to 12

Vail’s premier day camp invites children to experience Vail’s unique alpine setting. Campers tailor their day by choosing from a wide variety of sports, art and science activities or special outings. Camp Vail is fully licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Child Care.

Pre Kamp Vail

June 12 - August 11 | Ages: 2.5 to 5

Pre Kamp Vail knows how to provide adventure for children with little legs and big spirits. The low camper-to-counselor ratio allows your camper to receive individual attention as they enjoy self-directed play, arts and crafts, songs, games and a daily adventure outing. Pre Kamp is fully licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Child Care.

  • Level 1: Eagle County Student (full-time resident) AND Eagle County workforce - Saturday, April 1, 2023 at noon MST
  • Level 2: VRD homeowner OR Eagle County workforce - Monday, April 3, 2023 at noon MST

- 2023 Registration Form - available now online via Amilia database (located under the Season Passes & Applications tab)

- Letter of good health signed by your physician - upload to form online via Amilia database

- Copy of up-to-date immunizations - upload to form online via Amilia database

- Copy of birth certificate - upload to form online via Amilia database

- Severe Allergy/Medication paperwork signed by physician IF MEDICINE NEEDS TO COME TO CAMP (permission for medication administration, epi pen care plan, asthma care plan- upload to form online via Amilia database


2023 PRE KAMP VAIL INFO

Dates: June 12 to August 11, 2023 (Monday-Friday)

Time: Drop off 8-9 a.m. | Pick up 4-5 p.m.

Ages: 30 months to 5 years

Cost: $80/day

Location: Golden Peak Children's Center

About the Camp: Pre Kamp Vail recognizes the recreational desires of young children and how to provide adventure for children with little legs and big spirits. The low camper-to-counselor ratio allows your camper to receive individual attention as they enjoy self-directed play, arts and crafts, songs, games and a daily adventure outing.
