Price:   Early registration - $36 adults/$25 students
           Week-of registration - $42 adults/$30 students
           Day-of registration - $50 adults/$37 students

Online registration closes at 3 p.m. on Friday.

Pre-Race Registration & Bib Pickup: Cripple Creek Backcountry in Avon, Friday, Jan. 5, 4-6 p.m.

Race Day Bib Pickup and Registration: Powder 8 Kitchen & Tap (located slopeside skier's right of Centennial lift between the Beaver Creek Chophouse and the Park Hyatt) - everyone will need to sign a Vail Resorts waiver

Parking Options:
  • Garage Parking in Ford Hall or Villa Montagne (walk to start) - Beaver Creek parking rates apply. Under 3 hours = $25. Click here for more info.  
  • Paid Shuttle Parking in Bear or Elk lot - Beaver Creek parking rates apply. $13 per vehicle per day. Click here for shuttle information.*
  • Free parking is available at Avon Elementary School and requires a short walk (approximately .4 miles) to the Bear lot where you will then shuttle to the Beaver Creek                Base Area.* 
*Complimentary shuttle services between the Bear Lot, the Elk Lot, and the Covered Bridge in Beaver Creek Village are available from 5:30 AM to 1:00 AM daily. Guests do not need to schedule or reserve a ride on the parking lot shuttle but can track real time arrival information on the Village Connect app. Click here to download the app.

Age Groups: 19 & Under; 20-39; 40-59; 60+

Awards: We will recognize the top three finishers by Category/Age/Gender

Course: Uphill route will take participants up Latigo to the top of Centennial lift. Downhill Route will take participants down Gold Dust. Course subject to change based on grooming and snow conditions.

The Vail Recreation District brings their winter race events to Beaver Creek's main mountain with an uphill and skimo competition! Competitors can choose the uphill or skimo (ascent and descent) option and can use any means to get up the mountain (snowshoes, skis, splitboards or winter running devices). Skis or a snowboard with metal edges and a helmet are required to compete in the skimo competition.

Participants will ascend approximately 2100 vertical feet over two miles from the base of Centennial Lift to Spruce Saddle Lodge. The event will conclude with breakfast and awards at Powder 8 Kitchen & Tap at the base of Beaver Creek.
