Race Information

Back for the fifth year in 2020, the Dynafit Camp Hale Half Marathon and 5K will again be held at Camp Hale on Highway 24 south of Red Cliff, Colo. The will take place on Saturday, July 2. Wave start times will be announced soon. Bring friends and family and enjoy a great day of trail running, unique views of some of Colorado's tallest peaks and the best swag from national brands.

Course Description

The half marathon course will utilize well-maintained dirt roads, the Continental Divide Trail, and the Colorado Trail surrounding beautiful and historic Camp Hale. This will be a rare opportunity to compete on the same terrain that the troops of the 10th Mountain Division used for training prior to World War II. The 13.1-mile course is situated at 9,200 feet above sea level and will have minimal elevation gains, reaching a peak altitude of 9,500 feet.

The 5K course will be out and back, utilizing the gravel roads in the camp area. There will be aid stations for runners of all races, which will be located at mile 1.8 for the 5K and mile 1.8, 3.5, 5, 6.85, 9 and 11 for the half marathon.

Please note that there is no cell service in the Camp Hale area, so plan accordingly. Race personnel will have communications with emergency operations in case of emergency.
