Race Information

The seventh and final race in the Vail Recreation District's (VRD) Vail Trail Running Series, the Dynafit MeadowGold 10K and 5K is presented by Town of Minturn. This exciting route will take place on Meadow Mountain in Minturn, Colorado. Runners will ascend technical singletrack on the beautiful West Grouse Trail. At the high point and nearly half-way through the 10k race runners will begin the descent to the finish on double track with open views of Vail Mountain and the Gore Range. Along the way, participants will encounter 2 aid stations. Series awards ceremony will follow the finish of the Dynafit MeadowGold in Minturn. 


Directions to the Start:

Race begins at the Minturn Ranger Station: 24747 Us Highway 24, MINTURN 81645

From 1-70 West Bound:

- Take exit 171 (Minturn/Leadville)

- Turn Right (south ) on Highway 24 and go  1/2 Mile to  The Forrest Service and follow parking direction signs.  

From I-70 East Bound

- Take exit 171 (Minturn/Leadville)

- Turn Right (south ) on Highway 24 and go  1/5 Mile to  The Forrest Service and follow parking direction signs. 



Ages: 13 and older

Series Costs:

Dynafit Half Marathon; $48 pre-registration, $53 week-of registration, $65 day-of registration.

All other series races; $35 pre-registration, $40 week-of registration, $47 day-of registration. 

$215 for the series by May 1, 2020, $230 after May 1, 2020.  

Student Rates (K-12): $23 pre-registration, $28 week-of registration, $35 day of registration.  $145 for the series by May 1, 2020, $160 after May 1, 2020. 

 5k 5-Pack!  Compete for Season Awards in the 5k category. Must complete 3 of 5 5k races to qualify

5k Costs: $26 pre-registration, $31 week-of registration, $38 day-of registration.

$110 for the series by June 19, 2020.

Prizes & Awards

An after-party and series awards ceremony at Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea in Minturn will follow the finish of the MeadowGold. Additionally, prizes for the 5K and 10K will be presented to top finishers of the MeadowGold and raffle prize drawings will be held, featuring products from area merchants and national companies.
