Race Information

The race begins at 7 a.m. at the base of Gondola One in Vail Village, testing runners of all abilities on both single-track and double-track terrain over 4.5 miles of uphill running with an average grade of 14 percent. The race ends at Mid-Vail at the top of Gondola One. Competitors will ascend Berry Picker and take a sharp left towards the top onto Lower Fireweed and traverse to the east toward Mid-Vail. Competitors will exit Lower Fireweed on to the Mountain Access Road and finish at Mid-Vail.

There will be no gondola access for spectators for the 2020 edition. Racers will be able to download on the Gondola to the racer expo area where they can pickup their Northside Donut and race t-shirt.

There will be one aid station on-course near mile marker two. In an effort to reduce our impact, we have gone cupless! Please bring your own hydration system to refill with either water or Skratch.
