Race Information

The race begins at 8 a.m. at the base of Gondola One in Vail Village, testing runners of all abilities on both single-track and double-track terrain over 4.5 miles of uphill running with an average grade of 14 percent. The race ends at Mid-Vail at the top of Gondola One. There will be one aid station on-course near mile marker two, complete with water, Gatorade and Honey Stinger product. 

There will be no Gondola access for spectators for the 2020 edition

Please note the new finish location for this event is at Mid-Vail. Spectators should plan accordingly if they wish to watch both the race start and finish.

Competitors will ascend Berry Picker and take a sharp left on Lower Fireweed and traverse to the east toward Mid-Vail. Competitors will exit Lower Fireweed on to the Mountain access road and finish at Mid-Vail. Awards and raffle will take place adjacent to the finish on Sarge's Deck, overlooking the spectacular Gore Range.

Pre-Race Bib Pick Up & Registration

Racers can pick up their race numbers or register ahead of time on Friday, July 31 from 3-6 p.m. at a location TBD and to be communicated.


Costs:

Ages: 13 and older

Series Costs:

Dynafit Half Marathon; $48 pre-registration, $53 week-of registration, $65 day-of registration.

All other series races; $35 pre-registration, $40 week-of registration, $47 day-of registration. 

$215 for the series by May 1, 2020, $230 after May 1, 2020.  

Student Rates (K-12): $23 pre-registration, $28 week-of registration, $35 day of registration.  $145 for the series by May 1, 2020, $160 after May 1, 2020. 

 5k 5-Pack!  Compete for Season Awards in the 5k category. Must complete 3 of 5 5k races to qualify

5k Costs: $26 pre-registration, $31 week-of registration, $38 day-of registration.

$110 for the series by June 19, 2020.

Parking

Racers should park in the Lionshead or Vail Village parking structures, where parking is free for the summer.
