Assistant Golf Course Mechanic

Under the direction of the Golf Course Mechanic, the Assistant Golf Course Mechanic assists and/or works independently repairing and maintaining various gasoline, diesel and electric-powered golf course maintenance equipment and other equipment and fleet vehicles within the Vail Recreation District. The Assistant Golf Course Mechanic also assists in maintaining a clean work area and maintenance building to help contribute to an organized and efficient work facility.


2nd Assistant Superintendent

We are seeking an organized and motivated self-starter looking to expand their knowledge and career in the turf management industry, or a current turf professional looking to relocate to the area. The 2nd Assistant is responsible to the Superintendent and 1st Assistant, and duties include, but are not limited to: staff scheduling and supervision, calibration and fertilizer/pesticide applications, project planning, coordination, and implementation, assessing the golf course to relay information to supervisors, equipment operation, mowing, bunker detailing, course set-up, sod work, irrigation repair, maintenance, and operation, and anything else deemed necessary to the success of the golf course. We are looking for an individual to facilitate the constant improvement of the golf course, provide exceptional experiences for our guests, and grow professionally to provide future opportunities within our organization. In the winter, this position transitions into and plays a vital role in assisting with Nordic ski trail grooming, snow removal operations, and first response activities.

Skating Instructors - Dobson Arena

The Dobson Arena is looking for skating instructors for Learn to Skate classes on Wednesdays, 3:30 and 4:15 p.m. The program starts Sept. 21 and continues through April. Skating experience is required; must be able to independently teach small groups. We follow the Learn to Skate USA curriculum. Perks include being able to teach private lessons at Dobson Arena, with proper credentials.
