Paper lanterns
This event costs $10 per person, and all materials are included. Light appetizers and holiday music will be provided and a cash bar will be available (must be 21 and over). This class is taught by Lauren Merrill with Alpine Arts Center, and the event is put on in conjunction with Town of Vail Public Library and Art In Public Places.

Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited and reservations are required. Register now to ensure a spot!

You'll receive a free LED light for your lantern at the Winter Solstice Lantern Walk, taking place at 5 p.m. on Dec. 21. Arrive early to decorate a holiday cookie in Slifer Square from 4 to 5 p.m.

Participants will meet at the Covered Bridge in Vail Village and then walk through the Village, led by a very special guest! The Lantern Walk will culminate at the Gore Range Promenade for the opening celebration of the "10th Annual Vail Winterfest Ice Theater." This community gathering is a great way to celebrate the winter solstice and get in the holiday spirit!
