Youth Hockey Age Classifications 2018-19

Thursdays 4:15-5:15 p.m. - Mites & Mini Mites

Sundays 3:30-4:30 p.m. - Mini Mites

Sundays 4:30-5:30 p.m. - Mites

Season 1 (Fall): Oct. 4th to Dec. 16th, 2018

Season 2 (Winter): Jan. 6th to March 7th, 2019

Ages: 5 to 8 (birth years 2010-2013)

Cost: $160 for one season or $260 for both seasons

Mini Mites (ages 5 and 6, birth years 2013 and 2012) and Mites (ages 7 and 8, birth years 2010 and 2011) will learn the fundamentals of ice hockey through fun and educational instruction and enjoy an introduction to competition. Both groups practice from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. on Thursdays. Mini Mites practice from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays and Mites practice 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Sundays. A couple of weekends each season will include scheduled games at the Eagle Ice Rink.  Mites will have also have the opportunity to play teams from Glenwood Springs, Aspen and Summit.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to set up an appointment to be fitted for equipment prior to the start of the season.  Sticks and skates are not provided.  We have sticks available for purchase for $20 and a limited amount of used skates for sale.

**2018 FALL MILE HIGH MITES PROGRAM @ DOBSON ARENA**  A great introductory program for any kids looking to join the VRD Mite or Mini Mite program.  Not a pre-requisite, but a great way to get a full set of equipment and an introduction to the sport in a fun environment. Birth years 2009-2013. Four Thursdays, followed by two Tuesdays, starting August 30th.
