Toddler Bear and Super Bear Gymnastics | Times Vary, Monday through Friday | Year-Round
Vail Gymnastics Center
The Vail Gymnastics Center is currently offering two preschool-specific classes for children that are walking through age five.Toddler Bears, for children walking through age 3.5, includes instruction on shape courses and balance and swinging equipment to help children develop and explore. Super Bears, for ages 3.5 to 5 who are promoted from Toddler Bears, is a faster pace class that includes stretching and individual gymnastics instruction. Toddler Bears takes place from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday and Tuesdays and 9:15 to 10 a.m. Wednesday through Friday. StoryTime Skating | 10 and 11 a.m. Wednesdays
Dobson Ice Arena & Town of Vail Public Library
Children can enjoy story hour at the Town of Vail Public Library followed by skating at Dobson Ice Arena at either 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. on Wednesdays. Story hour is free and skating time is $10 per child for skates and instruction. Public skating schedules are also available by clicking here. Call 479-2271 for details. Imagination Station
Vail's learning and discovery center returns with improved exhibits for children ages two through 12. Children can build their own playhouse, act on stage with their choice of background and play & problem-solve at a variety of activities. Cost will be $5 per child age two and older with cost-saving weekly, monthly and annual memberships. Parents and children under age two will be free. The Imagination Station is conveniently located on the second floor of the new LionsHead Welcome Center and adjacent to free two-hour parking during the winter and free parking all summer long. Doors open mid-January 2012.
Preschool-aged children will have plenty of activities to get them indoors and out of the cold throughout the winter beginning in January. Programs include Art for the Young Child, Mommy & Me Yoga and more. VRD staff will offer custom art or science programs for children ages three and older who are potty trained. Cost is $10 per child, per hour for up to three hours.
