The 2008 season will mark a new milestone for the Vail Recreation District and the Vail Valley. This year will mark the 25th Anniversary of the Davos Dash Mountain Bike Race. To commemorate the event the VRD will be producing a 25th Anniversary Jersey awarded to the Winner of each category at the Davos race during the Post Race Party at The Sandbar in West Vail.
This season will also begin the ‘Mike Janelle Memorial Mountain Bike Race’. A long time supporter, competitor, and community friend, Mike shall be honored each year with a different race named after him. Every year the VRD will rotate a new race in Mike’s name in support of his family and in the spirit of mountain biking in the Vail Valley.
