Columbia Sportswear will be providing all running participants at each race with its innovative Omni-Freeze ZERO® tech T-shirts, a temperature-regulating, super ventilated T-shirt, plus technical clothing for VRD staff, volunteers and medical staff. The Omni-Freeze ZERO® shirts each runner will receive capitalizes on sweat to lower the fabric temperature, creating an immediate cooling sensation. When a runner gets hot, it gets cool. Additionally, with UPF 50 sun protection, quick-wicking fabric and antimicrobial treatment, the shirts have the ultimate technology to ensure each runner stays dry, cool and protected.

New for the 2013 season, the VRD is partnering with Northside Coffee & Kitchen by offering our trail running community an awesome way to recover from the long grueling climbs and descents of race-day competition with the Refuel Program! At the race finish, Northside Coffee & Kitchen will have energy-packed items to feed our hungry runners & to jumpstart their recovery. Whether you just ran a PR or you merely survived the climb, Northside Coffee & Kitchen wants to refuel everyone with a nutritious, local, and tasty alternative that will leave you asking for seconds!
There will be 4 Gatorade/Water stations along the course of the run. #1 aid station at 2.5 miles, the bottom of chair 10. The #2 @ 4.7 miles & #3 @ 6.5 miles will be at the Mid Vail Intersection. The #4 aid station will be at mile marker 9.2 miles, just before you enter onto the Grand Traverse and your final stretch in the race. The final four miles will be unassisted. Please be prepared.
