18th Hole Redesign Concept
Planning for renovation of the Vail Golf Clubhouse and Nordic Center is underway. Initial site work could begin this fall with the redesign of the 18th hole to allow for additional parking and green space to accomodate an increased even space planned as part of the clubhouse renovation. Highlighted by views of the Gore Mountain Range, Vail’s mountain-style, 18-hole course features unique fairways, smooth putting surfaces and a scenic layout amidst the White River National Forest. The fairways are tree-lined and generally flat, but numerous greenside and fairway bunkers, as well as beaver ponds will test a golfer’s accuracy. Vail’s course features 7,024 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. A course rating of 70.8 and slope rating of 121 make it a truly spectacular experience for golfers of all skill levels. Recognized by Golf Digest as a "Top 100 Resort Course," golfers enjoy watching their balls fly 10 percent farther in Vail’s high altitude environment, while they challenge themselves on greens that follow the Gore Creek and lay adjacent to the White River National Forest. Designed and built by one of Vail’s pioneers, Ben Krueger in 1962, Vail’s course continues to be thought of by many as one of the best courses in the Vail Valley-- a must play among locals and guests alike. Once the golf course is blanketed with snow, it serves as Vail’s Nordic Center during the winter months offering 17 kilometers of groomed ski track and 10 kilometers of separate snowshoe trails.

• Guest tee times may be reserved up to six months in advance with a credit card guarantee. No advance reservation fee is required.
• Punch card holders and season pass holders may make tee times two days in advance during the shoulder season. During peak season, tee times may be made one day in advance Friday through Sunday and two days in advance Monday through Thursday. Passes are restricted before noon Friday through Sunday.
• Eagle County residents may reserve tee times up to seven days in advance with a credit card guarantee. Eagle County residents must prove residency by providing the following: a driver's license, state issued I.D. card or passport with an Eagle County address.
• Vail taxpayers may reserve tee times up to seven days in advance and must provide proof of residency to receive the VRD (Vail) Resident Rate. Proof of residency includes property tax information or copy of a six month lease and a photo I.D.

The Vail Golf Club offers a variety of instructional opportunities for ages six and older that will help equip golfers new skills to take onto the range and the course. Lessons can be tailored to fit a player’s needs and include components such as individual assessments of the player’s physical strengths and weaknesses, strategies to improve their mental game and planning to create the most efficient practices possible.  

The Youth Foundations' First Tee of Eagle County Junior Golf Camps  |   Ages 6 to 17  |  Registration
Join Vail Golf Club staff for this unique junior golf program that teaches children life lessons through the game of golf. Camps take place from June through August at the Vail Golf Club. Cost is $85 per child, per session.

PGA Tour Academy Youth Junior Golf Overnight Camp | June 24-28 | Ages 12-18 
Information
This golf-intensive program is complete with seminars, guest speakers, video analysis and on-course instruction. Additional focus on the mental aspect of the game, as well as proper practice routines, tournament preparation and the opportunities for college golf will occur. Students will begin early with range instruction and warm up. After lunch, each camper will play 18 holes alongside The TOUR Academy instructors, who will provide course instruction to improve each golfer's game. Evening activities include dinner, free time and evening practice. Cost is $1,195 and includes lodging at Manor Vail Lodge. Commuter rate is $995. Registration underway, call 970-479-2260.

Junior Golfer Development Clinics |  Registration
The Vail Golf Club will be offering two sessions of 2 Day Par Camps on June 19-20 and July 9-10; three days of 3 Day Par Camps July 17-19 and two 3 Day Birdie Camps on July 10-12 and Aug. 1-2. Costs are $59 for the 2 Day Par Camps and $85 for the 3 Day Par and Birdie camps. Teen camps will take place on Fridays beginning June 29 and cost $100 for five sessions or $25 day-of. The Vail Golf Club offers a Women's League and Men's League that take place late every Wednesday from May through September.  Vail Golf Club also hosts the popular Vail Senior Golf Club, which plays on Monday mornings beginning in June through September.  Please click on the information button above to get contact information for each group and to view the calendars of the leagues.

The Vail Golf Club is located approximately 100 miles west of Denver and 147 miles east of Grand Junction along Interstate 70. Exit 176, turn on to South Frontage Road (east), travel east approximately 1.5 miles, then turn right on Vail Valley Drive. Follow this road approximately ½ mile until you arrive at the Vail Golf Club.
