Costs: $29 preregistration or $39 race day
This year's race will feature the third annual 5k trail running race for those looking to experience the run with a shorter distance. The races begin at 9 a.m. at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola at Eagle's Nest on Vail Mountain and the entire 10k race takes place above 9,000 feet of elevation with the high point at nearly 11,000 feet. The average grade of the 10k is 7 percent with an elevation gain of 1,172 feet. The race will end at Eagle's Nest at the top of the mountain.
Online Pre-Registration: Ends at 5pm on Friday, August 23rd.
Bib Pick-Up: From 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at Christy Sports in Vail Village or at the base of the Gondola from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. on race day.
Race starts at 9 a.m. at the top of the LionsHead Gondola. The Gondola opens for racers and spectators from 8 to 9 a.m. Please be on the gondola no later than 8:30 a.m. to ensure an on-time start.
